In absolute numbers, visas for newcomers from India increased the most (by approximately 13,000 more than at this time of year in 2019), followed by France (increase of roughly 4,500 over 2019 and 2018). As for the most significant decline in processed applications:
Philippines saw the most sizeable decline in absolute terms – 8,000 visas less than in 2019, which was already lower than 2018 numbers.
